Lorraine Kelly flustered as she accidentally lets slip X-rated remark on air

Lorraine Kelly sent ITV viewers into meltdown as she used the term ‘fluffing’ during an interview on Tuesday.

Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey was on the show talking about stripping off for some of the scenes while playing Anthony Bridgerton in the Netflix hit.

Lorraine showed a photograph of a stylist putting makeup on his bum, and she referred to it as ‘fluffing’ which left viewers gobsmacked.

She showed the picture and remarked: “That’s got to be one of the best jobs in the world. I think they call it fluffing, is that what they do?”

The actor replied: “Well I don’t know what they call it Lorraine… ice-breaking isn’t it?”

Viewers were in hysterics as they pointed out that a ‘fluffer’ is a technique used in the pornographic film industry.

It’s a person who performs fellatio on a male actor immediately before the recording of a pornographic scene.

Viewers went into meltdown on Twitter as one remarked: “No Lorraine!…fluffing is something far more.”

While another wrote: “I strongly suggest you look up what “fluffing” actually means Lorraine”.

“I just had to google fluffer. Well, Lorraine, you have tickled me pink and educated me today. #Bridgerton who would have thought that such a thing existed”, laughed a third.

Later in the show, Lorraine was told what the word actually meant and she fell into hysterics before apologising to viewers.

After the hilarious moment, Jonathan continued to tell Lorraine that the picture was taken during his first day.

He said: “That was my first scene… I think funnily enough you’ve blurred out a bit of the bum which makes it look like she’s, sort of, painted over it.”

Bailey went on to explain how the set was “incredibly safe” during sex scenes as they had something called an “intimacy coordinator”.

This meant the actors involved in the racy scenes felt safe and empowered throughout the process.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
