Lorraine turns awkward as Love Island's Lucinda and Aaron talk romance breakdown

Lorraine got off to an awkward start as Love Island’s Lucinda Strafford and Aaron Francis took to the stage.

The pair were a couple in the famous Spanish villa but decided to part ways soon after their dual exit.

Just days after, Lucinda and Aaron announced their split and she was then spotted on a romantic night out with Brad McClelland.

After all the drama had unfolded, Aaron and Lucinda now join together for an exclusive chat with Lorraine Kelly’s stand in Christine Lampard.

Christine said: “Have you had a chance to watch any of it back?”

“I’ve only seen one episode like the first one and obviously everything that’s been happening since but Luce has seen quite a lot of it”, added Aaron.

Lucinda added: “Yeah, I’ve watched quite a few episodes back, It’s really weird to be honest, watching you on TV.”

“So you’ve come out the villa only a few days ago and we’re in the friend zone aren’t we,” asked Christine.

Both Lucinda and Aaron laugh as they synchronised their answers of “yeah”.

Aaron explained: “I mean obviously we came out and we were only coupled up for like three or four days.”

Christine interjected: “And people forget that don’t they? Like it’s been this big lengthy relationship but actually, it was three days.”

“When you think about it like that. We’re like guys calm down but obviously it’s easy to misinterpret, replied Aaron.

Aaron took a verbal stab hinting he may not have kept his eggs in the one basket in Casa Amor

Turning to Lucinda, Christine asked: “And you know you were re-coupling with Brad at the weekend as we saw in the papers?”

“Yeah, I met up with Brad, still really early stages at the moment but yeah seeing where things go,” responded Lucinda

“Hey that sounds positive doesn’t it. I mean you did have a good connection with him in there, ” said the host.

“Yeah I did have a really good connection with Brad and unfortunately time got cut short.”

Cutting across the interview, Christine chirped: “And I felt like he dealt with that all really, really well?”

“Yeah very mature. But yeah, Early early stages so I feel like it’s all up in the air at the moment,” added Lucinda.

Lucinda was spotted at the weekend, putting on a very public display with bricklayer Brad

Later, things became even more toe curling when Christine asked the pair if they were happy not to have been part of the brutal Casa Amor stint.

Aaron chimed: “I’d have loved a lads holiday,” while insinuating that he wouldn’t have kept all of his eggs tucked in the one basket.

At the weekend, Lucinda and Brad McClelland looked loved-up as they held hands while putting on a very public display of affection.

On the ITV reality show, Lucinda and Brad were originally coupled-up together.

But the pair faced a difficult decision when they failed to win over the public.

Lucinda admitted after she’d left the villa: “I have been in contact with Brad, he messaged me saying ‘well done’, and he’s so lovely. I’m sure we will meet up.

“There are absolutely no hard feelings between Brad and me.

“It was genuinely so upsetting when he left the villa, he was part of the furniture. I like that we’re still in contact.”

She added, “Brad and I were quite close. Obviously, we liked each other.”
