Love Island fans are certain they’ve figured out a ‘game plan’ afoot to get Faye Winter sent home.
Each couple had to vote on Sunday night for the two couples they thought to be least compatible, with Faye and Teddy, Liberty and Jake, Brett and Priya, and Mary and Aaron all up for elimination.
The results will all come down to a public vote, with one couple getting sent home based on the islanders’ choices.
On Monday, Faye sat down with pals Liberty Poole and Millie Court to discuss her worries about the upcoming elimination, hinting that anyone who voted for her without telling her the reasons is “two-faced”.
But, in the Beach Hut, Millie admitted: “Faye’s a hot-head and she’s not going to be happy if she knows her friends have voted for her – but I can’t tell her the truth.”
Fans immediately took to social media with their own theories – with many suggesting the other islanders want Faye to be sent home as they are “scared of her”.
“Millie and Liberty are scared of Faye,” one wrote on Twitter, as another followed up: “Wait till Faye finds out her ‘friends’ have voted her and Teddy as the least compatible couple. As if anyone would be brave enough to tell her #LoveIsland.”
A third fan echoed: “I don’t think it has anything to do with compatibility why Faye’s up!! It’s cos they want her gone!”
“Not Faye trying to scare the girls into telling her they voted for her. She’s already winding herself up about it – it’s a game, Faye! You are one of the players,” someone else wrote.
Others, however, thought Liberty and Millie were doing the right thing – and looking out for Faye’s mental health.
“If there was really public concern for mental health, Faye and Teddy would be going home today,” someone theorised.
While someone else posted: “I’m sorry but you lot can’t come for Liberty, Millie or Kaz. This is not based on friendships it’s the way Faye had spoken about Teddy and to him personally Teddy does need someone louder than him just not disrespectful like Faye.”
And more still thought Faye was in the right – and that her friends were betraying her.
“They all encouraged Faye to get back with Teddy, cheered when they kissed and then voted them least compatible…” someone tweeted.
Another fan followed up: “Faye has a point, why has no-one said anything to her?”
“Jake’s vote was clearly revenge towards Faye!” someone else posted.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub.
