Love Island has been hit with over 90 complaints during its first week back on air.
The broadcasting watchdog regulator has confirmed that it received 80 complaints from angry fans in relation to the shock dumping of Shannon Singh.
Daily Star Page 3 girl Shannon, 22, was axed from the villa within the first 48 hours of the latest series.
The brutal decision didn’t do down well with viewers who claimed that Shannon didn’t have enough time to find love.
Ofcom also received 11 complaints in regards to other segments of the ITV2 dating show, making the total of reports to 91.
Shannon was dumped from the villa after blonde bombshell Chloe Burrows coupled up with her partner Aaron Francis, leaving the the model single and packing her bags.
After Chloe delivered her decision, Shannon received a text from Love Island bosses, sending her home from the competition.
The text read: “Shannon you are now single and therefore have been dumped from the Island. Please pack your bags and say goodbye.”
Left shaken by the text, Shannon quipped: “Well that was short-lived.”
The Scottish model had tears in her eyes as she said goodbye to the other girls, finding it difficult to process the news of her shock elimination.
Packing up her belongings, Shannon could be seen re-reading the text and saying: “I still can’t believe it.”
Chloe felt terrible about the turn of events, describing Shannon as a “lovely” girl in the diary room.
Shannon, meanwhile, insisted she had “no regrets” about her time on the show, with none of the lads taking her fancy in the villa.
After leaving the villa, the Scottish babe said: “”I am a bit gutted.
“Out of all the girls, I think it is fair it’s me because I didn’t have any emotional attachments to the guys, but all the girls had tiny little things going on.”
