Love Island's Faye Winter says she's 'so sorry' to Teddy's parents for furious outburst

Life seems to be sweet for Love Island’s Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, but there’s no escaping that fiery row from the villa.

Faye confessed she was “a million percent” nervous before meeting Teddy’s family because of it.

She spoke to Capital XTRA’s Will Njobvu about life outside of the villa.

Will asked if she was nervous about meeting more of Teddy’s family because of what happened.

“Yeah. Oh my God, one million percent! It was always on the forefront of my mind that as soon as I meet them I know I’m gonna have to be like “oh my God, I’m so sorry for shouting at your son!” she cringed.

“They were all incredible and, you know, she said “every couple argues”. Like it’s not… like, anyone would be lying if they said as a couple, they never had a screaming match. Unfortunately, ours was just aired in front of everyone.”

Faye says she’s yet to have a proper sit down with Teddy’s mum due to schedules: “I have seen her, have met her, love her, she has cooked me dinner so hats off to her!”

The pair have since made up and came third in the ITV2 dating final

Faye says Teddy has met her family too: “So it was the first time he met my mum and dad, and we just had some nibbles and a glass of wine. But we have since been down to Devon, we came down this weekend.”

“He saw like all 14 of my family. I threw him right in that deep end, no armbands or nothing, there you go, take it! And yeah, he had a great time with them so he fits in really well.”

Asked about wedding bells and babies, Faye joked: “Oh it’s happening!”

The argument received almost 25,000 complaints which broke the record for the most complaints for a single episode

“I’m not letting this one get away! I mean to be honest I wanna see the ring first” she laughed.

Faye was criticised a lot for her anger in the villa, but insists there’s another side of her that wasn’t really shown.

“I went in there, I was myself, but obviously when I was in there, my friends and family had to deal with things on the outside that I would have liked them not to have dealt with. So that’s the only unfortunate side to it.”

Ofcom have announced they will not be investigating Faye and Teddy’s explosive argument on Love Island

“There is a completely different side to me as well that obviously you guys maybe didn’t see as much. I think I was myself and at the end of the day, I’m proud of that, and I’ve got the man of my dreams who loves me for all that, so it’s cool.”

Tune into Will Njobvu on Capital XTRA Saturdays from 9am – 1pm and Sundays 4pm – 7pm.
