Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice has gushed over his Love Island star girlfriend Maura Higgins in a sexy snap posted on Instagram.
The couple, who were first spotted together at Blackpool’s Premier Drag Cabaret Show Bar in July, appear to be embracing in an empty pool looking smitten with each other.
The professional dancer declared that he was missing his “baby girl” in a caption alongside the post which was shared on Sunday.
Maura, who can be seen looking sultry in brown coloured bikini, quickly responded to her beau with a heart emoji and wrote: “’Not long now baby”.
The 30-year-old Irish beauty’s former Love Island pals Molly-Mae Hauge and Lucie Donlan also rushed to the comments in support of the pair.
It’s believed the Italian dancer has since introduced the brunette beauty to the cast and crew of his new show, Him And Me, which he’s stars in alongside fellow Strictly costar, Anton Du Beke.
Speaking to the Mail Online about their relationship an insider said: “Gio and Maura are very much a couple. Everyone know he’s played the field in the past but he is serious about Maura.
“He’s smitten with her, they’ve become close really quickly and are spending a lot of time together in Blackpool.
“She’s become pals with all of the cast and crew of Him and Me too and they think she’s great. Maura has also met Anton and they got on brilliantly.”
Giovanni has previously been linked to two of his Strictly stars, Ashley Roberts and Georgia May Foote whilst Maura found love with fellow reality star Chris Taylor before splitting in May.

In a post on Instagram following the breakup, she said: “It breaks my heart to even type this but I wanted to let everyone know that myself and Chris have made the joint decision to end our relationship.
“There is no wrong doing on either side. We still love, care and respect each other deeply from the minute we met each other we’ve been very close friends and that will never change.
“There is no regret, life is about taking chances. We wanted to make this work, but we have realised we work better being friends.
She continued: “While I appreciate people may speculate or create false stories, this is the truth. I wish Chris nothing but the best and I will always be one of his biggest supporters. Thank you for all of the love and support.”
