Meghan Markle is considering restarting her popular blog The Tig, a royal expert has claimed.
Prior to joining the Royal Family in 2018 when she married Prince Harry, the former Suits actress ran the blog which focused on lifestyle, wellness and beauty.
It was hugely popular with fans but was closed down when the now-Duchess started dating the royal.
Last month, royal commentator Lady C criticised Meghan for her frankness in the blog’s posts , suggesting she should have shut it down sooner.
But, speaking on his YouTube channel, royal expert Neil Sean has claimed that the Sussexes might soon restart the blog due to its initial success.
“It worked incredibly well for her, because then designers wanted to loan her clothes, makeup brands were keen to be associated with her, simply because she was attached to a cable TV show called Suits,” he claimed.
“According to a very good source, it appears that Meghan, alongside Harry, think this would be a very good time to restart ‘The Tig.’”
This, he suggested, could be to mimic the success of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, whose ‘Goop’ brand has been well received by a holistic lifestyle-endorsing US audience.
The Hollywood actress’ product range has included unusual items such as vagina-scented candles.
“And that’s all thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow. She has a very similar operation called ‘The Goop’,” Neil continued.
“Sources close to Harry and Meghan feel that this could be a way forward, and of course, keeping their environmentally friendly credentials going.
“Everything you can imagine will be vegan-themed, vegetarian themed.
“This was something that Meghan and Harry simply couldn’t do when they were part of the British monarchy.
“But her close advisors think she could easily eclipse the very successful Gwyneth Paltrow.”
This comes as some commentators speculated that Meghan might also move into politics, after she penned a letter calling for compulsory paid parental leave in the US.
In the letter, addressed to Senate leader Charles Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Meghan claimed that “the pandemic has exposed long-existing fault lines in our communities”.
The Californian also made reference to her own upbringing, claiming that she had witnessed her family struggling to balance finances and parenthood as a child.
Daily Star has contacted Meghan Markle’s representative for comment.
