Fans burst with joy when the Spice Girls first announced their reunion tour in 2019, but hearts were sadly shattered when Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, didn’t take part.
However, it seems that now, while Mel B confesses she respected Victoria’s decision, she has hinted that it might be a full reunion after confessing they’re “all on the same page”.
Mel B has said she will make sure another tour will take place in 2023 – and after the success of their last tour, it’s likely it’ll be another sell-out.
Speaking on Steph’s Packed Lunch as she hosted the show as part of Channel 4’s Black to Front campaign, Mel said that she and bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel C, Geri Horner and Victoria Beckham had all met up and discussed the possibility of another tour.
She said: “We did our last tour and Victoria respectfully ducked out, and you have to respect when someone doesn’t want to go on tour.
“I’m always pushing to have a Spice Girls reunion and we were in talks last year but then Covid hit so it pushed everyone’s plans.
“I think we’re hopefully on the same page together.”
Although Mel acknowledged that she shouldn’t have been spilling the level of tea she was, she said: “They’re going to kill me for saying this.
“We’re hoping, especially me, if it has anything to do with me, which it will have because I’m the driving force and will make sure it happens, to tour in 2023.”
If the girls do manage to tour in 2023 – especially as all five of them – it would be their first tour as a full group in 22 years.
The four women toured together in 2019 as the show completely sold out while adoring fans hoped to see their favourite group from the ’90s back on stage.
There has been some mention between the girls that the five of them would be happy to perform somewhere like Glastonbury, but no performance is yet to be confirmed.
