Naga Munchetty fumes at BBC fan's annoying habit as she demands 'don't do that'

Naga Munchetty revealed her annoyance with a fan who had text-in to her BBC 5 live radio show to confess to an annoying habit.

The no nonsense breakfast presenter had asked listeners to message in to finish the sentence, “you know you’re old when you…”

After receiving a flurry of messages from fans, the 46-year-old began to read out a few live on-air, but there was one that really grabbed her attention.

Naga said: “”Matt has text in, saying, ‘you know you’re old when… you push in front of queues and feel like you deserve it.”

She quickly then hit back abruptly: “Don’t do that Matt.”

A second text read: “You know you’re getting old when… you reply to silly 5 Live phone-in requests.”

Unimpressed, Naga chirped back: “Yes John you are.”

Another “memory loss” confession really made the TV star and radio host giggle.

She said out loud: “Rory says ‘Naga, you know you’re old when… you stop on your way upstairs not only to you forget what you needed but can’t remember whether you were going up or down.'”

Laughing, Naga quipped: “Yeah that has happened to me and you just can’t remember why you’re in a room or what you’re supposed to be getting.”

The topic of conversation came about, following a discussion that The Queen had refused to accept the Oldie Of The Year Award – from the British publication Oldie Magazine.

Her Majesty representatives responded to a letter from Awards chairman Gyles Brandreth who had written to ask if she would be willing to accept.

One “memory loss” message did make Naga smile

The Oldie Magazine published the letter in their magazine which read: “Dear Mr Brandreth,

“Thank you for your letter of 30th July, addressed to Sir Edward Young, asking if The Queen would accept The Oldie Of The Year Award.

“Her Majesty believes you are as old as you feel, as such The Queen does not believe she meets the relevant criteria to be able to accept, and hopes you will find a more worthy recipient.

“This message comes to you with Her Majesty’s warmest best wishes.”
