BBC 5Live host Naga Munchetty was missing from her regular radio show on Monday morning.
The BBC presenter, who also anchors BBC Breakfast on television alongside Charlie Stayt, usually hosts her radio show at 10am from Monday to Wednesday.
However, she had disappeared from the show on September 6 and it was Clare McDonnell who greeted listeners on the airwaves instead – after stepping to replace Naga as host.
At this point, there have been no announcements regarding Naga’s absence from the show – as Naga nor the BBC have commented on the situation.
Clare kicked off the show by setting out the topics she wanted to talk about, which included the passing of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, who died at the age of 39 following her battle with breast cancer.

She said: “Hello welcome, great to have your company this Monday morning, Clare McDonnell in for Naga this morning.
“How are you doing? Fantastic to have your company, we have so much to get through this morning.
“So many big questions to mull and chew over, we’re going to be talking about social care it will affect all of us in our families,”
“I may not be right now, but at some point in our lives, we’ll need looking after, or somebody we love will need looking after.”

Clare went on to discus the tragic passing of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding.
She said: “I wanted to start by reflecting on the sad news of Sarah Harding’s death.
“The Girls Aloud singer died yesterday at the age of 39 after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year.
“Her mum Marie has described her as a bright shining star, and her bandmates have said they’re devastated”.

Taking to Twitter, Clare announced she would be presenting Naga’s show to fill in for her, writing: “About to go live @bbc5live. Talking #SarahHarding with @CoppaFeelPeople and #Brianhiggins from @XenomaniaRCRDS who wrote and produced many of #GirlsAloud Hits.”
Naga joined Radio 5 in January this year, taking over from Emma Barnett to present the programme from 10am to 1pm three days a week on Monday and Wednesday.
It comes as Rick Edwards was announced as the new host of the 5 Live Breakfast show, replacing Nicky Campbell at the helm alongside his co-host Rachel Burden.
He said: “I realise I have some big boots to fill – I checked, and Nicky Campbell’s an eye-watering UK12!”
