Sam Fox is devastated Motörhead’s Lemmy can’t walk her up the aisle at her upcoming wedding.
The ex-glamour girl’s rocker pal offered to do the honours at her big day before he died in 2015 from prostate cancer and heart failure four days after turning 70.
He had been due to step in for Sam’s alcoholic dad Patrick, who died in 2000 after swindling her out of £1million in earnings and once beat her so badly she feared she was going to die.
Page 3 model-turned-singer Sam – whose wedding to her tour manager Linda Olsen, 46, was last year delayed by Covid – told OK! magazine: “Originally, Lemmy from Motörhead offered to give me away after my dad passed away, as he was always a great mate of mine.
“God bless his soul, he died a few years back.”
Sam is now staying tight lipped on Lemmy’s replacement and her wedding day celebrity guest list.
She said: “I want to invite the people who got me where I am today.
“I know a lot of celebrities but they’re not my real friends – but there’s a few coming! I can’t say. It’s a secret.”
Sam and Norwegian mum-of-two Linda had been due for an Essex wedding for last summer after four years together.
After coronavirus restrictions scuppered their plan they are now hoping to tie the knot in a few months in a “fairytale” ceremony where they will have “lots” of family, pals and bridesmaids and both wear white gowns.
They got together after the 2015 breast cancer death of Sam’s long-term partner Myra Stratton, 60, who she was with for 12 years.
Sam says she still talks about Myra every day and has a picture of them together in the home she shares with Linda.
She added: “Linda’s not a jealous person.
“I was with Myra for 16 years and you can’t be with somebody for that long if you weren’t close and you didn’t love that person.
“So if course I think about her, and Linda’s lovely about her.”
