An insider has claimed Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards ‘tried to quit’ the band two years before Jesy Nelson left.
It’s said that new mum Perrie decided against leaving because she wanted to go on one more tour with Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy one last time.
There was a Confetti tour planned, however the pandemic meant it had to be rescheduled.
The postponement meant Perrie had to stay in the band for longer than she apparently intended.
Then came the shock announcement from Jesy that devastated fans, when she revealed she would be leaving the band in December 2020.

A source told The Sun: “This idea that everyone was happy in the band prior to Jesy leaving is a smokescreen,”
They continued: “Perrie actually told the band she was thinking about leaving in 2019 which prompted a sit down with management.
“In the end she agreed it wasn’t the right time and they talked about the Confetti tour which was delayed due to Covid – it was known that after the tour Perrie would bow out of the group.”

There have been rumours swirling this week that Little Mix will be finally calling it quits in a few weeks time.
Fans would be left devastated if the band quit, after a difficult few weeks.
Jesy’s solo career has hit the skids after accusations of “blackfishing”, and after taking part in an Instagram live with Nicki Minaj where mean comments were made about her ex bandmates.
Sources told The Sun on Sunday Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie now also want solo careers of their own.
They claim: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached.
“A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”
The insider says they will be making an announcement soon.

A TikTok user claimed that Leigh-Anne had messaged him privately to “do a video about [Jesy] being a blackfish”.
Jesy has been defending herself against the claims.
Fans will have to wait and see what happens next with the group.
