Pete Doherty looked completely unrecognisable as he headed out on a late-night snack run in Camden upon returning to the UK.
The former Babyshambles frontman had been performing at Powerhaus in Camden after swapping the UK for Normandy, France to embrace a more laidback lifestyle.
Pete, 42, had his trimmer figure on full display as he headed out to a newsagents in London at two o’clock in the morning to stock up on bottled water and various other goodies to tide him over.
Wearing a tight-fitting black t-shirt and checked suspenders, Pete opted for a pair of grey trousers and his usual trilby, featuring red and blue stripes.
Pete made his way to a waiting white van with his new purchases, just a week after his inaugural concert after the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in England.
He performed a gig in Newcastle’s Riverside music venue last Monday, looking dapper in an open-collar light blue shirt and his trademark suspenders, along with a grey flat-cap.
Pete strummed along to his acoustic guitar at the intimate gig – the first of many, as he later headed to The Welly in Hull, The Venue in Derby and finally Powerhaus in Camden.
The star recently exchanged British shores for French, and moved to Normandy, where he has a newfound love for Comté cheese.
He was recently spotted relaxing in the French sunshine with his pet husky, holding a newspaper in one hand and a hunk of bread in the other.
The rock n’ roll icon sported his iconic flat-cap as he headed out on a stroll, along with a pair of navy blue shorts that hit at mid-thigh, and a white button-up shirt.
Pete recently revealed that French cheese has become his vice after giving up drugs, telling The Sun: “I like Comté, Comté on toast. My guilty pleasure is sleeping.
“For years and years, I would stay up for five or six days and then I would sleep for 24 hours, so now I love sleep.
“At the moment, I’m quite clean. I stopped taking heroin and ketamine,” he added.
He looks to be embracing every aspect of French life after moving to the French countryside with his partner, Latia.
He has even taken up the popular bowls-style sport Pétanque.
But he does miss fast food, which isn’t readily available in his area of Normandy.
Speaking to the publication, Pete dished: “I’d have a Big Mac if I could, but I can’t. The nearest McDonald’s is 40 minutes away.”
