Peter Andre's wife Emily shares reason why she keeps kids' faces covered in pictures

Peter Andre’s wife Emily has opened up about the reason she always makes sure to cover her children’s faces on any social media pictures.

The doctor said that she made the decision when her little ones were born in order to prevent “cruel” comments from online trolls upsetting them.

Amelia, seven, and Theo, four, often feature in Instagram pictures with the rest of the family but their faces are always covered.

Emily, 32, spoke about the issue in her OK! magazine column and also mentioned that Tamara Ecclestone’s daughter had been nastily called an “ugly, awful little thing” by a troll.

Emily said: “I feel like people are really cruel.

“To make comments about a child’s appearance is unnecessary and wrong. Making comments in general about people’s appearances generally is uncalled for.

“It’s no wonder we’re seeing a rise in people with body insecurities and people making enhancements to their bodies.”

Peter agrees with the plan and said that by covering his youngest children’s faces, he afforded them more privacy at school.

Speaking on YouTube, the 48-year-old said: “Emily’s point is that they weren’t born into the media – no one has ever seen their faces so she doesn’t really want anyone to see their faces.

“So when they go to school no one can really recognise them at that.”

Peter has two other children with his ex-wife Katie Price. They are Junior, 16, and Princess, 14.

However, the eldest two have always had their lives documented in the media so are used to it.

Meanwhile, Peter recently missed Junior’s music launch as he was so ill – “the most ill he’s been in three years”.

The teenager has followed in his dad’s footsteps after signing a record deal and is preparing to release his debut single.

Teasing the livestream launch on social media to fans, he said: “Tonight I will be going live at 7pm and I’ll be playing you some of my new music that no one has heard.

“So if you tune into my live you’ll be the first to hear my new music.”

His proud dad had to miss the event and posted on his social media page to wish Junior good luck.

He penned: “Good luck tonight son.

“Sorry I can’t be with you but show ’em what you’ve got.”
