Singer Phil Collins will be quizzed under oath over claims he did not wash or brush his teeth.
The ‘In the Air Tonight’ singer will sit down for a filmed deposition to be grilled by lawyers for his ex-wife Orianne Bates.
It is part of the former couple’s ongoing legal dispute over their mansion in Florida, with the jewellery designer claiming she was verbally promised half by the rocker.
She claims Collins made life unbearable as he became a hermit between 2019 and 2020, spending his days drinking alcohol and watching news while refusing to go out and see friends.
Collins evicted Orianne, 47, when she eloped to Las Vegas to secretly wed lover Thomas Bates, 31.
Allegations being put forward by his ex-wife’s legal team include that he abused alcohol and prescription medication, didn’t brush his teeth for months, stopped showering and became “depressed, abusive and incapable of having sex”.
Collins, 70, had tried to prevent his former spouse, who he was married to from 1999 to 2006 before reuniting a decade later, from suing him for half of their former Miami Beach home.
His lawyers have insisted the claims are “scandalous, scurrilous, unethical and, for the most part, patently false or grossly exaggerated”.
Swiss national Orianne’s lawyers plan to depose him after the Genesis comeback tour, The Last Domino.
Her lawyer Richard Wolfe said: “I have spoken with Phil’s counsel and anticipate his deposition in December after his current tour.
“We have always been ready and willing to discuss a resolution.
“Orianne has warm feelings for Phil as they have children together and she only wants what is fair and reasonable, and what Phil agreed to.”
At the time of their divorce in 2006, Against All Odds crooner Collins paid Orianne £25 million, which was the largest settlement in a celebrity divorce at the time.
Collins has been married and divorced three times.
