Piers Morgan hits out at 'whiny clowns' Meghan and Harry in new Oprah dig

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry famously sat down for their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired in March this year – but it seems Piers Morgan still doesn’t believe any of their statements.

Piers has made many comments about Meghan and Harry since they decided to move to the US and take a step back from their jobs within the royal family.

In his latest Twitter rant, Piers again questioned if there was any truth to their interview as he labelled them “whiny clowns”.

He wrote: “Was ANYTHING these two whiny clowns told Oprah true? #AskingForAFriend.”

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Meghan and Harry on set with Oprah, which saw over 4,000 people like the tweet just two hours after he posted.

His followers were torn in response to the tweet, with some agreeing with him and questioning why they left the UK to “avoid the spotlight”, but others slammed the former Good Morning Britain host.

One user wrote: “Time to let it go.”

Another added: “It must be hard carrying this anger around… time to move on?”

Meanwhile, another referenced Piers’ previous Tweet, which saw him expose someone who was sending him unwanted DMs, as they told Piers: “You literally just whined in a post.”

Shortly after Meghan and Harry’s interview in March, Piers lost his job on Good Morning Britain following 57,000 Ofcom complaints.

In a tweet, he claimed that he lost his job at GMB because he chose not to apologise for disbelieving Meghan Markle’s claims in her interview with Oprah.

The complaints came after Piers said on GMB that he didn’t believe Meghan after she revealed she had suicidal thoughts, adding that he “wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report”.

At the time, mental health charity Mind said that it was “disappointed and concerned” after the statement.

It added: “It’s vital that, when people reach out for support or share their experiences of ill mental health, they are treated with dignity, respect and empathy.”

It was later reported that Meghan made a formal complaint to Ofcom, raising concerns about how the comments made could have a negative effect on people dealing with their mental health.
