Piers Morgan suddenly walked offset on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, leading his co-presenter Susanna Reid to call for an emergency advert break.
Alex Beresford, who previously spoke out against Piers’ treatment of Meghan Markle over Twitter, voiced his concerns about the presenter’s language on the show.
Referring to Meghan Markle, the weatherman said: “I understand that you do not like Meghan Markle and you have made it clear so many times – so many times on this programme.
“And I understand you had a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off. She is entitled to cut you off if she wants to.
“Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? Now, I do not think she has. But yet you continue to trash her.”
Piers, who had been biting his lip up until this point, suddenly climbed out of his seat and stormed out of the studio, refusing to engage in the conversation.
He fumed: “I’m done with this.”
“No, no, no, that is pathetic,” responded Alex. “Absolutely diabolical behaviour.”
Piers kept walking, moving towards the backstage zone of the studio while saying: “Sorry, can’t do this.”
After Piers exited the studio, Alex continued to make his point, saying: “Piers spouts off on a regular basis.”

The meteorologist added the Monday instalment of Good Morning Britain, which saw Piers berate Meghan and Prince Harry’s Oprah Winfrey, had been “hard to watch”.
Susanna then directed the ITV team to bring the show to a break, as she looked at the camera and said: “I think we need to just all take a break.”
Watching from home, viewers were baffled by the sudden exit, as many accused Piers of behaving childishly on the morning news programme.
One Twitter user wrote: “You’ll never live this down Piers Morgan. Running off the show like a big baby when someone challenges you.”

“Well said @alexberesfordTV That response was very childish, even by Piers low standards,” added a second.
And a third penned: “Piers Morgan dont like it back does he, childish bully, well done Alex Beresford.”
“Piers Morgan walking off set like a big baby on #GMB after being told the cold harsh truth on #Meghan by @alexberesfordTV is one of the greatest TV moments ever. Well said Alex,” a fourth chimed.
Over 10 minutes later, Piers finally returned to the show, finally agreeing to hold a conversation with his co-star Alex about the bombshell Oprah interview.
Trying to bring about a civil conversation on the subject, Susanna said: “Clearly what that interview has done is it has raised a lot of emotion and a lot of tension.”
Piers’ main gripe was that he felt Alex had got “personal” about his attitude to Meghan, referring to his former friendship with the Duchess of Sussex.
Alex explained his perspective, saying: “I’m not, by no way shape or form, accusing you of being a racist.
“I know where you stand on things. I’ve got a great amount of respect for you Piers.”
Alex then defended Meghan and Harry, urging Piers to change his attitude to the Royal couple, and condemning the tone of his coverage on Monday’s show.
On Monday’s programme Piers didn’t hold back on his feelings about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell CBS interview, which aired on ITV on Monday night.
Piers said during Monday morning’s GMB instalment that he didn’t trust what the Duchess was saying.
Former chat show host Trisha Goddard let rip at Piers following his comments.

She told Piers she was “saddened” by his comments.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t,” Trisha said firmly. “The name of the show would be ‘bullying’, Piers and I’m afraid you’d be the star.”
Piers fired back: “Really? Not Meghan Markle who drove out the female staff with her bullying, or does that not count?”
“Piers, listening to you this morning I’m saddened,” said Trisha. “You know what I wish for you? I wish for you only really wonderful things.

“I hope that one of your sons meets a beautiful black woman and gets married to them and you will understand.”
Piers replied: “Actually I would love that. Why would I have a problem with that? Why does every criticism of these two have to be framed as racism?

“I’d also like to have her bullying investigated. The bullying that no one seems to want to take seriously,” he said once more, this prompted Susanna to say that Buckingham Palace are already investigating the allegations from members of Meghan’s household staff in 2018.
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
