Piers Morgan’s wife Celia Walden has taken to social media to joke about her husband’s decision to leave Good Morning Britain.
The former newspaper editor sensationally quit his co-hosting job on the hit ITV show on Tuesday evening after a showdown with bosses.
Piers is understood to have been asked to make an on air apology after stating he doesn’t believe a world Meghan Markle said during her Oprah tell-all.
His comments sparked 41,000 official Ofcom complaints – with the majority outraged he was casting doubt on her claim she felt suicidal.
Logging into Instagram on Wednesday, Celia shared a clip from comedian Alexandra Haddow in which the joker pretended to be her.

In the short video, Alexandra woke up and stretched before rolling over and looking shocked as if someone was in bed with her.
She playfully wrote over the top of clip: “Piers Morgan’s wife waking up this morning.”
Seeing the funny side, Celia added: “Right on the money.”
In a statement released on Tuesday, ITV confirmed Piers had left the show.

The statement read: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.
“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, Piers stood by his decision by sharing a quote from the late Sir Winston Churchill about freedom of speech.
Piers captioned the upload by added: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.
“I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, that’s OK.
“Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.”
Piers and his co-star Alex Beresford – who works as the Good Morning Britain weatherman – locked horns over Meghan’s claims she faced racist abuse at the hands of the royal family.

During her explosive chat with Oprah, Meghan Markle accused the monarchy of being racist – alleging that someone in the royal household explicitly expressed concern about the colour Archie’s skin would be before he was born.
Prince Harry told Oprah he would never name the individual who asked the question, nor would he give context.
He later added off camera that it wasn’t The Queen, 94, or Prince Phillip, 99.
