Dancing on Ice professional Brianne Delcourt was left feeling “extremely worried” for her unborn child after she suffered a frightening haemorrhage.
The 40-year-old ITV skater is expecting her second baby with husband and professional footballer Kevin Kilbane.
Brianne and Kevin are expecting another baby again just nine months after welcoming their first-born daughter Olivia into the world.
Despite having a tough pregnancy with Olivia, the happy couple were determined to do everything right with baby number two.
However, the couple suffered a terrifying ordeal when they’d discovered Brianne had suffered a haemorrhage that caused her to bleed for an entire week.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Brianne explained: “We found out I had an haemorrhage and it was right by the placenta. I was bleeding for a week!”
The ITV star was left feeling “extremely worried” about her next appointment with the doctor – knowing that bleeding in some cases can often be an indication of a miscarriage.
Her mind was later put at ease by specialists who explained to her that bleeding is “normal” for some while expecting and she was sent home.
However, it later manifested that the TV skater’s case had not been that straight forward and she was instructed to take up bed rest.
Brianne told the same publication: “Mine had got bigger and I was in a lot of pain.
“They put me on bed rest but that only lasted a day as it’s pretty hard to do nothing when you’ve got two kids.”
She added: “It was an extremely worrying time and it was way before 12 weeks, so it was really scary.”
According to the experts, the situation has now stabilised and the bleeding has “cleared up”.
The figure skater is also mother to daughter Gracie, three, who she shares with an unnamed ex.
Meanwhile, Kevin, 44, has two daughters, Elsie, 16, and Isla, 14, with his ex-wife Laura, who he split from in 2011 after 12 years of marriage.
