Radio 1 star Scott Mills has announced his engagement to boyfriend Sam Vaughan.
Scott surprised Sam with a romantic proposal on the weekend while celebrating Sam’s birthday.
This comes after Scott admitted he had “always said I didn’t think I would ever get married.”
Scott confessed to fans that Sam changed his thoughts about getting married.
The couple have been dating for four years and shared the happy news on Instagram.
He penned: “Some Happy News! After 4 years together I’m delighted to say we got engaged at the weekend.
“As @samvaughan89 knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.

“You make me laugh every single day, you support me in so many ways and I adore everything about you.
“As soon as I met you I knew this could be something special and it is (after a slow start[laughing emoji]).”
The Radio 1 DJ continued: “We’ve had some amazing times, and I’m bursting with happiness to know we will have so many more. I love you with all my heart.”

The 47-year-old shared multiple photos of Sam and himself throughout their relationship.
The pair can be seen posing in Welsh rugby shirts in one and in a plush hotel in another.
The happy couple in two of the snaps are surrounded by balloons and photographs, moments after Scott had popped the question.
Brand managed Sam also took to social media to share the joyful news and shared a photo of his engagement ring.

He wrote: “The beginning of forever.
“On Saturday the love of my life asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
“I’ve had the most amazing four years and can’t wait to continue our journey! I never thought I’d find somebody who’s as obsessed with Sky News as me and I can’t wait to call him my husband! @realscottmills”

The couple have kept a low profile on social media after they started dating in 2017, but their happy news has caused many famous faces and fans to congratulate them, including Radio 1 DJ’s Greg James and Jordan North.
Greg penned: “YAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!” followed by multiple red heart emojis.
Jordan added: “This is amazing news, congratulations Scott and Sam.”
