Sir Rod Stewart has brought joy to his fans with a silly new video of him and his kids enjoying a ‘boozy Sunday dinner’.
The 76-year-old pop legend uploaded the amusing family clip to his Instagram over the weekend, showing the aftermath of the family meal in his large kitchen.
He can be seen wearing a floral shirt, mustard trousers, yellow trainers, and — more bizarrely — a canary yellow coloured dishcloth as a hat.
In the video are various younger members of his large family helping with the washing up, including sons Aiden, 10, and Alastair, 15, born to current wife Lady Penny Lancaster.
Accompanying the post he wrote a caption reading “Sunday’s are for family!” , which he added to with a black heart emoji.
Speaking directly into the the camera while grinning, the ‘Sailing’ singer said: “We’ve had a lovely Sunday dinner tonight. This is my daughter, she’s clearing up. Here are my two sons, they’re all clearing up.
“We are family! And if you want the secret to dinner? Have we had a drink or two? Yes we have!”
One fan responded with glee in the comments, saying: “Love this. Sundayfunday with the famjam, best times.”
Another said: “Amazing day with the family.”
And a cheeky request came from an adoring follower, who wrote: “Can I join the next Sunday dinner please Rod and family x”
The ‘Sailing’ singer has fathered eight children to five different mothers, and has been married three times.
The oldest of his kids is aged 58, coming from a relationship he had with art student Susannah Boffey as a young man.
Last week he said he wouldn’t bow to any political pressure to ditch his raunchier older hits like Hot Legs, as audiences want to hear his older hits — even if they were created in a “different era”.
He told BBC Radio 4: “These songs like Hot Legs, Stay With Me and Da Ya Think I Am Sexy? were all written in a different era.
“But they represent that era and that is what makes them worthy.”
