Rylan Clark sends message to step-son after marriage to Dan Neal breaks down

Rylan Clark has sent a public message to his step-son despite his marriage to Dan Neal breaking down.

Dan, who found fame on Big Brother in 2013, has his son Cameron from a previous relationship.

During their marriage, Rylan, 32, would often share his pride of Cameron after big life events, such as being accepted into a top drama school.

And despite the Strictly: It Takes Two host’s split from Cameron’s dad, Rylan still made an effort to send him a touching birthday tribute.

Sharing a picture on his Instagram Story of the two of them together smiling with their tipple of choice, Rylan wrote: “HBD [happy birthday].”

In the past, Rylan shared his joy when Cameron was accepted into LAMDA – also known as London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Cameron lived with Rylan and Dan, and it sounds like having two dads was pretty great.

Rylan previously said that he had turned into a “proper dad” – but that Cameron knew he could talk to him about anything.

“I even tell him off,” Rylan told The Sun. “He’s got three parking tickets in the last week so I’ve been screaming at him down the phone.

“I look at him like he’s my own. He can talk to me – I’m Dad, but he can talk to me about sex!

“I’ll say, ‘As long as you’re being safe.’ If that was Dan, he’d be like, ‘Stop it, Dad!'”

Rylan and Dan got married in 2015, however they split up six years later in June of this year.

The television favourite confirmed the sad split, saying: “Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out – as the way it is being reported is unfair.

“I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.”

They decided to divorce after trying to save their marriage.

The difficult time saw Rylan take time away from his showbiz jobs, but he is now back and better than ever on BBC Radio 2 and the Strictly spin-off.

More recently, he reassured fans that he was “good” after he reportedly started crying while hosting his radio show.

He said: “Couple of news stories today. Be assured, I’m good. I wasn’t, but I am now.”
