Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita will 'stop Tilly Ramsay going further', claims dancer

Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin found themselves in the bottom two on Strictly Come Dancing last week and dancer Gary Edwards thinks he knows why.

Gary believes that Tilly’s partnering with Nikita is holding her back and reckons that the pair won’t make the final of the dancing competition.

After ending up in the bottom two opposite Sara Davies, Tilly revealed it was “not easy being in the dance-off”.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Gary said: “I really focussed on Tilly and I watched it back three times, Tilly actually gets a rough ride.

“I don’t think that’s the right partner match for her, I think that is working against her.”

He noted that Tilly had “super energy” ad was “super enjoyable” throughout her routines, despite landing in the bottom two.

Gary continued: “I don’t think it was on purpose but the partner match – if you imagined her dancing with Giovanni [Pernice], or her dancing with Aljaz [Škorjanec] it would be stupendous in my opinion.

“And with Nikita, I just don’t think the match is there, Nikita with Rose [Ayling-Ellis], that would have worked.”

Professional dancer Gary Edwards believes Nikita is holding Tilly back

Despite believing that Nikita is holding Tilly back, Gary thinks her full potential has not yet been shown, adding that she is “very impressive and very underestimated” by many.

The Dancing With The Stars presenter went on to say: “She is just a great dancer, if it wasn’t for her ankles being a bit weak, which is very common for beginners, she would be a force to be reckoned with for sure.

“I think with Nikita it’s not a good partner match for me and that’s what’s going to stop her going further I think.”

Meanwhile, Tilly recently recalled that she is yet to visit her dad Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants because she isn’t allowed.

Alongside Strictly, the CBBC presenter is also starring on Celebrity MasterChef Australia and appeared on the latest episode on Sunday, where she revealed the info.

During the episode, Tilly said she didn’t even know what type of food is served at Michelin star restaurants.

During the show, comedian Dilruk Jayasinha asked his co-stars about the fine-dining restaurant.

He said: “Me and Tilly have never been here. What type of food do they have?”

His co-star Nick Riewoldt replied: “It’s fine dining like it’s a fun experience.”

Tilly said: “Three hats is Michelin star, no? I’m not even allowed in my dad’s Michelin star restaurants. I don’t know what to do.”
