Strictly Nancy Xu's wild life – hot bodyguard boyfriend, rival show fame and glam snaps

Strictly Come Dancing is set to showcase the West End on Saturday in Musicals Week and there is even a previous West End and Broadway star within the professional cast.

Nancy Xu, who has been featured on the BBC dance competition since 2019, was paired with her first celebrity partner this year.

Nancy has spent this series paired with CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson and the two have excelled, they received Motsi Mabuse’s earliest ever perfect score of ten in the third week.

This year’s star-studded celebrity line up also included EastEnders Rose-Ayling Ellis, BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker and Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Tilly.

Nancy is not the only new professional to take to the dancefloor, new additions to the show also include Nikita Kuzmin, who is paired with Tilly Ramsay and Kai Widdrington – who is dancing with AJ Odudu.

We take a look into her wild life when she’s not dancing on the infamous Strictly Ballroom.

The Latin dance specialist is 30 years old and originally from Hunan, in South Central China.

When Nancy received the news she would be joining the Strictly professionals line-up she said: “Thank you so much Strictly fro one of the most beautiful birthday gifts ever, thank you for making my dream come true!”

Not only does Nancy dance Latin at a top level, she is also a model signed to Nevs Model Agency and has shared lots of glam pics to her Instagram account.

Her dance track record speaks for itself – she has competed in professional competitions across the globe including U21 World Championships and the International Singapore Championships.

Nancy also made the final of the Chinese version So You Think You Can Dance?

From TV to stage, Nancy has excelled – she performed on the West End and even Broadway in a production of Burn The Floor – a self-proclaimed “high-voltage theatrical dance experience exploding with jaw-dropping choreography.”

She was noticed by fans of Strictly Come Dancing whilst appearing in group numbers alongside long-standing professionals such as Giovanni Pernice, Oti Mabuse and Katya Jones.

Now paired with CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson Nancy has been wowing on the dancefloor and even scored a perfect 40 in week eight of the competition.

However, the infamous Strictly curse that has made its impact on this season – especially with the rumours flying around Katya Jones and Olympian Adam Peaty – will not affect Nancy.

Hopefully the Strictly curse will not affect Nancy Xu and bodyguard boyfriend Mikee

She has been in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Mikee Introna Michele who is a bodyguard and founder of martial arts school MIECS.

Italian Mikee also appeared in Burn The floor on the West End alongside Nancy.

Nancy also boasts more than 37.9K followers on Instagram and shares behind the scene snaps of herself with Strictly partner and blends perfectly her glam pics with her quirky humour.

One such post sees the stunning Nancy posing with a sheer high pony and cheeky smile as she compares herself to the adorable Agnes from Kid’s cartoon Despicable Me.

Nancy has taken Strictly by storm this year and we hope to see lots more of her talent on the dancefloor in future series.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday on BBC One.
