Over the years there have been plenty of shocks and surprises on Love Island, with some of the couples that appeared to be the strongest end up crumbling when it comes to Casa Amor.
Viewers love to try to predict who will find lasting love, and who will split up before the show even finishes.
The cards have it, and Rhian Kivits has done a tarot reading for three of Love Island’s couples: Millie and Jake, Liberty and Jake, and Toby and Chloe.
Liam and Millie
Both Liam Reardon, 21, and Millie Court, 24, were latecomers to the villa but that hasn’t stopped romance from blooming between them.
Welsh builder Liam and Essex fashion admin Millie didn’t seem to have much in common besides sexual chemistry at first, but the cards look good, says Rhian.
“I’ve drawn The King of Cups for Liam and The Empress for Millie. Liam absolutely adores Millie and could even see her as marriage material. “
That explains the Love, Marry, Pie challenge then!
“He’s a romantic at heart – he’s kind, loving and he wants to please. He’s emotionally aware and that feels good to Millie, whose card suggests she’s seeking stability, security and a serious relationship.
“These two could really take care of each other, but if Millie sees any signs that Liam’s not mature enough or not yet ready to settle down, she could find herself having doubts, and want to steer the relationship back on course.
“She knows what she wants for her future and she doesn’t want to waste time.”
The card for their relationship is also positive.
“The Six of Cups suggests there’s so much fun and sweetness in store for these two, as long as they remain playful, keep being themselves and resist the temptation to rush. They could be true Soulmates because they’ll bring out the best in each other over time.”
Looks like their family members will need to buy a hat!
Jake and Liberty
Jake Cornish, 24, and Liberty Poole, 21, are one of the OG day one pairings.
Former Nando’s waitress Liberty and water engineer Jake seem solid, but what do the tarot cards say about their romance?
Rhian explains: “I’ve drawn The Emperor for Jake and The Queen of Wands for Liberty. These cards suggest that Jake’s got the power in this connection.
“Liberty has completely got the hots for him and she’s likely to become more and more determined that he’s her guy, but he knows it and he also knows that he’s got options. He’s an excellent, strategic player and he likes to take the lead.
“Liberty’s got to be careful that her strong feelings don’t make him feel like he’s obliged to her, or he’ll take his power back by flirting with other girls and he’ll trigger her jealous streak again and again.
Avoid the jealousy, Liberty! Rhian also drew a card for their relationship chances.
“The Three of Cups suggests there’ll be other girls ready to accept Jake’s attention. But this could easily be one of those situations where Jake will be drawn back to Liberty, even if his head is turned by someone else.
Could he be tempted by Casa Amor but come back?
“They have a great sexual chemistry and real romance could be on the cards, as long as Jake feels like it’s on his own terms. The question will be whether Liberty can handle that.”
Toby and Chloe
One of the most controversial couples in the villa, Chloe Burrows, 25, and Toby Aromolaran, 22, got together after Chloe stole Toby away from fan-favourite Kaz Kamwi.
Is their love set to last?
Rhian says: “I’ve drawn The Hierophant for Toby and The High Priestess for Chloe. Toby’s not going to rush into making any commitments when it comes to relationships and he’ll take his time to assess who Chloe really is.
“He’s likely to present a quietly confident exterior but beneath the surface he may not be clear about what he wants just yet.
“Chloe, however, is much more self-assured, confident and experienced. She’s likely to have high expectations of her man and she wants to be appreciated and showered with attention.
“Her card suggests she’s the stronger one in this connection and if she doesn’t feel like she’s Toby’s sole focus she’s likely to disengage.”
Could there be trouble ahead for the pair?
“The Fool was drawn for their potential as a couple. Both these Islanders are playing their own game and they’re each going to walk their own path.
“They could have a lot of fun together in the moment, but these cards suggest they’re not a lasting love match because Toby could be easily distracted or take too long to explore what he wants.
“He may even decide that Chloe is out of his league and fail to step up in the way she wants him to. If that happens, Chloe won’t think twice about pulling away.
“She knows her worth and wants to be number one in the eyes of whoever she’s with.”
With three new bombshells going in, one of them with their eyes on Toby, maybe Chloe needs to hang on to her man.
