The Chase viewers were left scratching their heads on Friday afternoon as contestant Caroline admitted that she’d never watched two classic movies.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show and was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in hand.
Anne Hegerty aka The Governess was in the hot seat trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Henry, Beth, Caroline and Jasen all took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Governess in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
Jasen was the first contestant to try his luck but unfortunately got caught by Anne during the head-to-head round.
Caroline had a lot of pressure to bring back some cash to the table and scored an impressive £6,000 in her cash builder round.
The contestant left viewers baffled during her time on the show as she admitted she’d never watched classic movies Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins.
Fans watching at home rushed to their keyboards to discuss Caroline’s confession.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Not watched Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? What kind of twisted childhood did Caroline have?”
Another added: “She’s never seen Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?”
A third person posted: “How has she not watched Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?”
While a fourth social media user said: “She’s never seen Chitty or Mary Poppins? Hope she loses.”
Elsewhere in the show, Caroline stumbled on another movie question.
Bradley asked: “In what 1939 film did Judy Garland play a character called Dorothy?”
Caroline replied: “Casablanca” instead of The Wizard of Oz.
Despite her lack of knowledge of films, Caroline managed to make it through to the final chase.

The contestant was joined by teammate Henry, who added £8,000 to the prize fund.
Caroline and Henry got 18 steps ahead of Anne in the final chase but she managed to catch the duo with 18 seconds remaining on the clock.
Bradley was forced to take the £14,000 away from them and the duo went home empty-handed.
