The Chase viewers were left distracted by a ‘sexy’ player who reminded them of an EastEnders star.
First up to to beat Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha was ancient history student Gordon, 32, and fans were left hot under the collar.
Gordon was one of the four contestants joining 61-year-old Bradley Walsh on the ITV game show to take on the chaser and win a cash prize.
The contestant from Edinburgh plays in a band for fun and revealed to Bradley that if he won some money he would splash out on a retro guitar.
In the cash builder round, Gordon went head-to-head with The Sinnerman and banked an impressive £7000.
However, ITV viewers were distracted by how much Gordon resembled BBC One soap actor Michael Greco.
Michael played hunky Italian Beppe di Marco in Albert Square from 1998 to 2002.
Fans were left flustered and took to social media to comment.
One cheered Gordon on and said: “Come on Beppe. #TheChase.”
Another added: “Gordon’s super cute! I hope he makes it through to the final round. #TheChase.”
“Well Hello there Gordon. #TheChase,” a third said.
One fan shared: “Gordon is pretty sexy!! Reminds me of Beppe in EastEnders. #TheChase.”
Despite the chaser trailing behind him, the lookalike contestant made it through into the final round.
The other three contestants, transportation planner Peter, theatre manager Chloe and HR manager Helen joined Gordon to compete for the cash prize.
With six seconds remaining and two failed attempts to push The Sinnerman back, the team were caught and missed out on the cash prize of £23,000.
Monday’s show brought just as much tension as Bradley fumed “get on with it” to a contestant as she hesitated to answer.
Viewers were left unimpressed as the second player Lynee hesitated to press the button, leaving Bradley yelling “stop talking” in an bid to get her to answer before the time ran out.
