This Morning fans divided over 'diabetes on a plate' cooking segment

This Morning viewers were left divided today after ITV aired a segment on how to make four-way wraps.

Fans of the hit daytime series were split down the middle as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield tried out the treats.

As the name suggests, the four-way wrap involving divided a standard wrap into four and filling each quarter with a different food.

The wrap is then folded over into quarters before being fried or grilled.

They can be made sweet or savoury.

Despite being unsure about the snack at the start of the show, Holly admitted she was won over after being served a chocolate, banana and marshmallow fluff version.

The Dancing On Ice host said: “I love the fact we both sat down and said ‘this isn’t really for us’ and them we both loved it.”

Agreeing, Phil added: “It is annoyingly good.”

Joking about her fried savoury version which encompassed a full English breakfast, Holly laughed: “I feel like it is going to eat me.”

But while Holly and Phil were won over viewers were not as easily impressed.

One fan wrote: “Free heart attack with every wrap.”

Another added: “Comfort food? It looks revolting #ThisMorning”

“Diabetes Type 2 on a plate. The people that shouldn’t try it will. #ThisMorning,” a third continued.

And a fourth remarked: “The 4 way wrap is like diabetes on a plate.”

However, others loved the idea.

One viewer praised: “That 4-way wrap sounds like a great idea.”

A second gushed: “Jesus Christ I want that! #ThisMorning.”

This weekend Holly and Phill will take to the ice rink once more with the return of Dancing On Ice.

The series will kick off on Sunday and see a host of famous faces try their hand at iceskating including Denise Van Outen and Rebekah Vardy.

This year, bosses have had to make a number of last minute changes in a bid to obey tighter government guidelines amid the ongoing pandemic.

As well as axing the planned live audience, see-through plastic screens have now been installed on the judges’ panel to separate them, much like on The Masked Singer.
