Essex businessman Adam Brooks tweeted: “I am absolutely gutted to hear this news, my business rival in the 00s, but such a well respected gentleman in the industry, shared many friends with Mick.
“There’s some very upset people tonight.
“Thoughts to his family, I’m truly very saddened, a good man.”
Mick rose to fame on ITV show The Only Way Is Essex, as his club Sugar Hut became a central point of the series.
But he left the show after a series of cast arguments in the club, saying he feared it was damaging the venue’s reputation.
“My club is an upmarket venue where people come to drink champagne and feel spoiled,” he told The Sun.
“All these rows they keep filming don’t show the club in a good light and I’m worried it’s putting people off coming, which is the last thing I want.”
