Mel B has paid a touching tribute to The Queen.
The Spice Girls star took to her Instagram to pay a touching tribute to Her Majesty who passed away aged 96 this afternoon, September 8 2022.
Taking to social media, Scary Spice posted the famous image of when the band met the monarch at the Royal Variety Performance in 1997 alongside a small paragraph:

Expressing her grief at the death of Her Majesty, The Queen, Mel wrote: “Today is the saddest day. We have lost an incredible lady who all of us grew up with and had so much respect for.”
Remembering the time, The Spice Girls were introduced to the monarch, Mel wrote: “I was honoured to meet her, honoured that she awarded me my MBE as patron of Women’s Aid and honoured she was our Queen.”
More celebrities around the world have paid tribute to the Queen following her death.
Messages of condolences have poured in from famous faces after she passed away following months of declining health.
ITV host Lorraine wrote: “So sad. What a life of service and duty. incredibly honoured to have met her. Always been there my whole life. Thoughts with her family and everyone who loved her.”
Actress Reese Witherspoon took to Twitter to say: “Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II” alongside a picture of The Queen.
Fellow Spice Girls singer Geri Horner took to Instagram with a picture of the Queen and captioned it: “My thoughts and sympathies go to the Royal Family for the loss of their Mother, Grandmother, Aunt.”
She added: “Thank you to Her Majesty for her resolute never-ending service. She is, and always will be the epitome of dignity and elegance.”
Her Majesty, The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral at the age of 96 on 8th September.
Buckingham Palace officially announced: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
On Thursday lunchtime (September 8), Buckingham Palace confirmed royal doctors were “concerned” about the monarch’s health and had placed her “under medical supervision”.
Immediate members of the Royal Family including Prince William, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and The Duchess of Cornwall rushed to the Scottish Estate to be by Her Majesty’s side.
Prince Charles was already at Balmoral as he became king, with his youngest son Prince Harry has been spotted looking distraught as he arrived at Balmoral.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have not yet joined the family in Scotland.
