Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace rushed herself to hospital ahead of step-mum's funeral

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace whisked herself to hospital this week after she was left feeling unwell.

The 43-year-old Big Brother star had a high fever and severe tonsillitis and was left concerned that it would leave her unable to do a reading at her late step-mum’s funeral.

Speaking about the incident with her Instagram followers, Aisleyne recalled how she had attempted to call her GP to get some antibiotics but after she didn’t hear back, felt heading to the hospital was her only option.

She shared a snap of herself in the waiting area of the hospital to Instagram and wrote: “In hospital, waiting to be seen. All this extra money on the NHS.

“Wish my doctor just saved me all this by calling me. I waited all Monday and today.”

And it wasn’t the first time Aisleyne had mentioned that she tried to reach out to her doctors, with the reality star writing the day prior: “Waiting for my doctor to call me all day. All I need is antibiotics for tonsillitis.”

She begged her followers for help when she started thinking she wasn’t going to get a call back as she asked for advice and added: “Reading a long poem tomorrow at step-mum’s funeral. Please help.”

An additional snap saw Aisleyne confirm that she had called NHS 111 after “forgetting” about the service after “panicking”.

Hours after, a snap of Aisleyne with a mask on her face in a hospital waiting room emerged as she revealed that she was waiting to get help from doctors.

However, it does seem that she got what she was after, with the star later sharing a snap of a box of tablets, writing on her profile: “High fever and severe tonsillitis. If only I could have started these tablets yesterday. Wish me luck for the reading tomorrow.”

Aisleyne’s plea for help from her followers comes shortly after she announced the sad news of her step-mum’s passing.

The star took a brief break from social media last month following the family tragedy, but she returned with a sweet post as she wrote: “Life is an adventure, surround yourself with good people and enjoy the ride.”
