BBC Breakfast descended into chaos on Wednesday (July 20) as hosts Nina Warhurst and Jon Kay were forced to chop off an interview within seconds of it starting.
After some disruption to the show earlier in the week which saw Nina host from the Media City studios alone, Jon was back on the red sofa in his usual shirt and tie.
The pair soon got to talking about the outbreaks of wildfires across the country as temperatures soared to 40 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.

Roving reporter Tim Muffett was on the scene in Wennington, London, as streets were cordoned off due to a nearby blaze.
Nina introduced the segment by explaining: “Our reporter Tim Muffett is in Wennington this morning, where 10 houses have been gutted by fires. Tim, absolutely devastating for the people who lived in those homes.”
Standing close to the cordon, Tim replied: “Absolutely, yes. We’re about a half a mile or so away from the village, much of the area has been cordoned off.
But he was quickly cut off as he attempted to continue: “The emergency services-“
Professional as ever, Nina quickly explained to the viewers at home that he had been interrupted by a technical difficulty, which meant his microphone simply wasn’t being picked up by audiences at home.
She said: “Some problems there with Tim’s microphone. Apologies for that, we’ll try and come back to Tim Muffett in Wennington a little later.”
Jon explained that the programme would continue to talk about the “after effects” of the “extreme heat” battering the country as the pair covered the mishap as best they could.
Later in the programme, Tim’s technical issues were thankfully resolved, and he was finally able to present his segment on the fires.
But the technical errors weren’t over, as Chetan Pathak, reporting from Brighton, was suffering from his own technical errors with his microphone also cutting out – and Jon forced to apologise.
It comes after a major shake-up this week, with regular host Sally Nugent missing from the studio and Nina stepping into her shoes.

Many members of the Breakfast team were out on location this week, too, with Jon presenting from both Cambridge and Droitwich Spa, and Carol Kirkwood heading out to Kew Gardens.
And in one turn of events, Jon was left battling a major wardrobe malfunction as a pigeon decided to use the shoulder of his linen jacket as a toilet.
Turning to Carol, Jon begged: “Carol, have you got any tips for removing bird poo from linen jackets? Because I’ve just been splatted by a pigeon.”
Carol simply burst into laughter at his admission, before gathering herself enough to say: “Try one of these wet wipe things – it might spread it a wee bit, but if you use a few…”
Looking completely unimpressed by Carol’s tips, Jon said: “It could get messy, couldn’t it? I’m slightly anxious about doing this. I’ve also got another jacket – maybe we’ll go for that option for now and hit the dry cleaners a bit later!”
