BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty has reacted to the news that a TV rival had decided to call time on his career at Channel 4.
The 46-year-old re-shared the Twitter post concerning editor Ben de Pear -who was now stepping down from his role after 10 years in the position.
Showing acknowledgement to a fellow in the industry, Naga shared the tweet from a Channel 4 news corespondent, Ciaran Jenkins.
The 38-year-old paid thanks to his co-star Ben and wrote a heartfelt message that he shared with his 64,000 followers.
He penned: “I’ve been at @Channel4News for a decade and @bendepear has been editor almost all that time.
“He’s been a fantastic, inspirational boss – I owe him so much. A new era begins today.”
Attached to Ciaran’s tweet was a publication which had been titled: “Farewell to departing editor Ben de Pear.”
The article read: “We don’t often spend time recognising the off-screen team- who are really the ones who make this programme what it is.
“Under Ben’s editorship, Channel 4 News has won more awards than at any time in its history.”
Naga is no stranger when it comes to re-sharing information of people moving on being promoted when it comes to the world of live TV.
Last week, the BBC newsreader responded on social media to a colleague who had confirmed a move to ITV News later this year.
