BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty rushed to support one of her colleagues who injured herself while riding an electric scooter.
Lara Lewington, star of BBC Click, was left with severe cuts running down the middle of her face and was forced to undergo stitches after her fall.
She took to Twitter to share the news of her injury, sharing a snap which showed her blonde hair framing her face and revealed the cuts bisecting her forehead and upper lip, with the skin around her nose reddened too.
Lara wrote alongside the photo: “As an extremely clumsy person, always wobbly on two wheels, the electric scooter ride was never going to be a good idea. After being cleaned up and stitched up, 6 days later I’m healing well, and grateful it wasn’t worse.
“Back on @BBCClick & @PackedLunchC4 this week, cuts ‘n all!”
Naga was one of the first in the replies section to support the injured star, as she wrote: “That looks so sore! Feel better. Heal soon. Sending love xx.”
Other colleagues also hopped into the comments section to wish Lara well, with BBC News star Dave Molloy writing: “Jaysus Lara, hope you’re healing well!
“I’ve almost been knocked down by one four times now – generally dodgy things no matter which side you’re on.”
While BBC World Radio host Bill Thompson added: “Oh that must have been awful for you – hope your recovery is smooth. I’ve used them a few times but felt risky… much prefer my bike.”
Channel 4 host Steph McGovern echoed: “Hope you’re ok! [shocked emoji]”.
Lara is, of course, married to money mogul Martin Lewis since 2009, and the sweet couple share a daughter together.
They tend to keep their romance out of the spotlight, but let fans have a glimpse into their love life with sweet snaps on social media.
The Money Saving Expert shared a sweet snap of them this year as he thanked her for her continued support during the national lockdown.
He wrote: “Two years ago today. Lockdown with Mrs MSE… kindly, brilliantly and dedicatedly acting as producer/floor manager when I had to do my ITV show from home.
“She was so professional, stopping her work at 2pm on a Thur, to dedicate the rest of the time to my show. I’m very lucky.”
Lara replied: “I loved doing this, one of my. lockdown highlights – and there were actually a few!
“Available for weddings, bar mitzvahs, and producing prime time shows in pandemics,” she joked.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
