Ben Shephard poked fun of a Tipping Point contestant as she failed to know that Queen Elizabeth II had been the monarch when Tony Blair was Prime Minister.
The English teacher seemed to get a case of nerves when host Ben, 47, asked the first question of the second round.
He asked: “Who was the ruling British monarch when Tony Blair was Prime Minister?”
Kendelle replied: “Erm, Queen Victoria.”
After the round had finished, the Good Morning Britain star couldn’t stop laughing as he mocked Kendelle’s answer.
Twitter was ablaze with commentary as excited viewers took to their keyboards to join in on the joke with Ben.
One person quipped: “#tippingpoint Kendelle just made me take two Tramadol.”
Another tweet read: “Queen Victoria? That’s up there with the worst answers on #TippingPoint.”
A third joked: “I can’t believe she thought Tony Blair was PM when Queen Victoria was on the throne #TippingPoint.”
“Am I dreaming? Did she really say Queen Victoria #tippingpoint,” said a fourth.
While a fifth person added: “Omg @benshephard #tippingpoint ‘who was the monarch when Tony Blair was prime minister?’ ‘Queen Victoria’. How did he keep a straight face.”
Needless to say, Kendelle didn’t manage to score as well as her team mates and was knocked out in the second round.
Johnny and David went head-to-head in a tense round that left fans on the edge of their seats.
However, in the end it was Johnny who triumphed and went through to final round in hope of bagging the jackpot prize of £10,000.
The player didn’t manage to get the Jackpot counter over the edge by the time he’d ran out of questions.
When offered the trade of giving up £2900, Johnny opted to play it safe.
As usual, they played out the scenario to see what would have happened if Johnny had been brave enough to take the trade.
Sadly for Johnny the first counter would have been enough to secure him £10,000.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
