BGT's The Witch 'exposed' as Channel 4 star by real-life witch who spotted key clues

Britain’s Got Talent viewers have been trying to work out the identity of The Witch ever since the creepy contestant auditioned on the ITV talent show.

However, it appears a real-life witch might have finally cracked the code and figured out who is lurking behind the facial prosthetics.

The creepy witch act graced the stage last weekend and gave a terrible fright to judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

The spellbinding witch was swept into to the next stage of the series after bagging four ‘yes’ votes from the enchanted judges.

Fans have been clambering to uncover the true identity of the witch ever since, but who better to solve the mystery than a real-life witch?

Celebrity witch and body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke exclusively to Daily Star after spotting some revealing clues about the act, and they reckon a famous BBC star could be the culprit.

The first thing Inbaal noticed was the witch’s “masculine” feet and commitment to the witchy character, leading them to believe it’s a professional actor.

The expert said: “What a fascinating act the Witch was! And more than just body language details about the Witch herself… this interaction between act and judges has revealed some fun facts about the judges themselves.

“The Witch’s enormous boots suggest most likely masculine feet – and the hunched walk shows commitment. This is someone who’s happy to remain in character for a long time. Probably a professional actor.

“Never looking at the TV cameras (which is harder than you’d think), this person is likely a pro around TV sets, but the constant eye contact with the judges, and the physical interaction – touching Amanda’s hands for example, suggest that this is likely a theatre person at heart, used to intimate shows in front of a responsive audience.”

Although the witch’s facial prosthetics are hard to decipher, Inbaal spotted the act nodding a lot, which suggests they know a thing or two about delivering lines. Another clue it could be a showbiz star.

The expert went on: “The facial prosthetics (and the hands and wrists are made up as well!) make it impossible to figure out facial quirks, but we can see that the Witch nods as she talks, not just saying her lines, so this must be someone who knows a thing or two about delivering convincing monologues. Just before she disappears, she sticks her tongue out, showing a cheeky nature – not scary, just acting.”

The body language buff believed the mystery contestant could have ‘gothic’ qualities to them, which led her to Bake Off star Noel Fielding.

The quirky comedian can be seen hosting Bake Off alongside Little Britain star Matt Lucas, but many fans will know him from his hit comedy show The Mighty Boosh.

He also played the hilarious office-goth in Channel 4 comedy The IT Crowd, alongside Richard Ayoade.

Inbaal said: “If we’re looking for someone in the public eye who is a TV and theatre pro, who can speak in jaunty riddles and has gothy leanings, perhaps one Noel Fielding comes to mind.

“The heavy, worn walking boots are not like the Mighty Boosh star’s usual silver pointy footwear… but a lot of other elements fit like a glove!”

The Witch wreaked havoc on the judging panel during their audition – and one stunt saw Alesha flee from her seat and refuse to return until the area had been cleared.

The witch gave Amanda a juicy-looking apple to hold, but it was soon crushed up to reveal maggots and cockroaches which were scattered across the desk.

Many BGT fans thought it could be one of the show’s hosts Ant or Dec behind the mask, given their experience in undercover pranks on their ITV show, Saturday Night Takeaway.

One wrote: “That witch actually looked like Ant on an undercover! Haha”.

A second said: “No, why does the witch actually look like Ant?”
