Bob Geldof drops F-bomb in front of Harry and Meghan during One Young World speech

Sir Bob Geldof dropped the F-bomb during his speech at One Young World – right in front of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The legendary singer-songwriter attended the opening ceremony of the summit in Manchester tonight (September 5) and delivered a speech urging the younger generation to stand up against climate change.

Standing at the podium in front of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the 70-year-old said: “We meet tonight at Manchester, thanks to Andy Burnham, who is one of the great mayors in this country.

“But there’s no deny that the joy we celebrated with all those flags with frankly the best soundtrack that One Young World has come up with in the 28,000 years that we’ve been doing with, finally catered to some different record other than Pink Floyd or whatever the f*** that is.”

Guests laughed as Sir Geldof continued his speech and viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts.

“Fantastic speech by Sir Bob Geldof,” one wrote.

“Lots of passion from Bob Geldof who says systems created by his generation failed. Lots of applause too – next up Meghan!” a second added.

“Listening to Bob Geldof still makes my spine tingle, just like ’84. Always compelling,” a third commented.

His speech came just before Meghan took to the stage to declare the opening of the event.

The Duchess of Sussex, who looked stunning in a red jumpsuit, started her speech by saying it was “very nice to be back in the UK”.

She said she was “grateful” to be in the young audience’s company as she addressed them as “the future, the present and the ones driving the positives and necessary change needed across the globe now in this very moment”.
