Carol Vorderman confirms 'stalker' ordeal after being granted restraining orders

Carol Volderman has revealed she has been granted restraining orders against a real-life stalker.

Last year, the 62-year-old presenter purchased a £100,000 custom camper van which she converted into a portable home.

Planning to travel across the UK in the modified vehicle, Carol was forced to stay with friends after someone began following her van – with the star confirming her stalker had since been slapped with “civil restraining orders”.

Carol wrote: “OUTDOORS 2022. I’m alive and breathe when I’m outdoors, properly outside.

“Next year I’ll be away much more in my @vordervan.

“Had to go with my friends in their vans this year cos of a bit of a ‘Vorder stalker’ thing going on but ‘civil restraining orders’ have now been signed, so ONWARDS…..

“Ain’t no stopping me now I’m on the move.”

Carol ended the post by looking positively towards the new year.

One fan replied: “This looks gorgeous, Carol! Looking forward to following your adventures!”

Another added: “Looking forward to following your van life adventure.”

Meanwhile, a third follower commented: “I look forward to seeing more of your adventures in 2023, Carol.”

Another fan said: “Awesome adventures. Look forwards to seeing all of your adventures in your van next year.”

Looking forward to your journey,” another fan concluded.

Carol’s stalker ordeal follows the star recently opening up about the online “abuse” she’d received in the wake of her criticism of Jeremy Clarkson’s now-deleted The Sun column about Meghan Markle.

Posting to Twitter earlier this month, Carol wrote: “The Clarkson Effect.

“I’ve received a lot of abuse obvs, but it’s like watching the last death throes of a dinosaur age. Sad souls who are angry at new thought, at equality, at kindness. BUT this chapter has also brought the calm, normally silent, people together. We fight on.”
