Carol Vorderman pays hilarious tribute to Charles III as she says 'long live the King'

Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman has shared a set of fond memories of King Charles III, with one of them being when he did the ‘Mobot’ as the Prince of Wales.

Taking to her Instagram Stories to declare her love of the new monarch, Carol, 61, shared a slew of memories of her friendship with His Majesty.

Sharing some rare snaps with her loyal legion of followers on her Instagram page, Carol started her sweet tribute with: “Long Live The King.”

She then penned: “His organisation, The Prince’s Trust, formed over 40 years ago was way ahead of its time.

“Changing the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people for the better.”

The maths whizz and Pride of Britain host continued: “On the Pride of Britain awards we have awarded The Prince’s Trust young achiever award each year.”

And then with a snap of the King doing Mo Farrah’s iconic ‘Mobot’ she penned: “And we’ve laughed. Here asking King Charles to do the MOBOT with our Olympians on stage.

“He’s a great sport,” she said about the Monarch.

Carol’s tributes continued, with the ageless beauty shared a sweet memory of her and the King having an intimate chat.

Alongside the photo she explained how they were “having a giggle about something”.

She then concluded with: “Thank you sir for all of your work so far. Long Live The King.”

This comes after the former Prince of Wales was formally announced as King Charles III on Saturday, September 10.

King Charles took on the role of Monarch after his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed away aged 96 on September 8.

The former Monarch’s death was announced at 6:30pm, BST on Thursday – with the entire nation now mourning her death while celebrating the new reign of our King.
