Melanie C’s brother Paul O’Neill has explained their sibling relationship has left him being asked some pretty awkward questions.
The former auto racing driver, 42, often appears alongside his sister on Celebrity Gogglebox, leaving viewers across the nation in hysterics with their quick wit and humour.
However, Paul and Melanie, 48, have opted to keep their family life rather private over the course of their careers and very rarely speak about one another.

Due to this, Paul admits he’s found himself being asked some bizarre questions by people who don’t know the Spice Girls star is actually his sister.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, he said: “Our Mel is quite a private person, I’m not, I respect her privacy and I don’t post anything that’s going on with her.
“It’s really funny, a lot of people have seen us on Gogglebox, people I’ve known for 10 – 15 years through racing, they come up to me and they go ‘What’s the sketch with you and Melanie C? Is that your girlfriend?’
“I’m like ‘That’s a bit weird, that’s my sister!’ but because I’ve had my own career, I’ve always done my own thing and our Mel has always respected that.
“It’s funny when you do get asked when people are like ‘I didn’t know the connection.'”
Praising his sister, he added: “She’s one of the quickest-witted, loveliest, funny people I’ve ever met.
“Even though I’m used to the TV, I was a bit nervous about doing it with my sister, she’s my big sister and she p***es on my chips when I think I’m funny, she gives me a right room for my money.
“We were a class act on Gogglebox to be fair, she’s a funny lady.”
Despite entertaining the nation, Paul admits he’s never watched himself back on the show but says: “It was shocked to be asked on that programme.
“It was a shock and a privilege but it was nice to spend some time with her.”
Paul continued: “My sister was adamant she was doing it with me and the Gogglebox people didn’t have a clue who I was but I was lucky that year that I’d a Guinness World Record.
“Our Mel pushed it through, she said, “I’ll only do it with my brother’, but I’m not bothered about being on TV.”
