Kerry Katona may have shot to fame as a pop star, but it seems she’s also got some serious undercover skills up her sleeve.
The former Atomic Kitten star made a surprise cameo in the latest series of Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted – and she certainly made her mark during the episode.
In fact, she left the Hunters fuming on Sunday night’s episode (February 13) when she hatched a genius plan that left the experts scrambling to find the cast.
The show follows a group of celebrity pairs trying to run the Hunters, which are made up of ex-police and intelligence officers.
It all went down when Too Hot To Handle star Chloe Veitch and her fellow escapee, RuPaul’s Drag Race star The Vivienne, rushed over to her home in Cheshire in a bid to hide from the Hunters.
Tense scenes showed the pair desperately trying to get into Kerry’s property as the Hunters watched on confidently, almost certain they were going to catch them with ease.
The detectives had already worked out Chloe and The Vivienne were heading to Kerry’s house – so it looked like an easy win.
However, it all went wrong for them when Kerry devised a plan that involved her using a decoy whilst Chloe and The Vivienne, also known as James, escaped to Wales.
After letting them into her gorgeous home, Kerry told them that she’d have her chauffer drive them to Wales, whilst she drove her Landover separately as a decoy.
Kerry’s plan worked perfectly, because the Hunter team chose to pursue her car rather than the chauffer’s, which was carrying Chloe and James.
Not only that, but the Hunters were unable to track Chloe and James as they drove through the countryside as they couldn’t pick up the right signal.
Reacting to the getaway, the Hunters said: “We’re not going to get any ANPR.”
Down on the ground, one of the experts said: “Cannot believe we’ve been hoodwinked by Kerry Katona and a drag queen”.
Some fans didn’t like the expert’s drag queen comment – and they took to Twitter to air their frustration.
One viewer wrote: “don’t know in which way that [comment] was meant, but the comment came of as disgusting! Why can’t you believe it? Give me a reason?”
A second said: ““I can’t believe we’ve been hoodwinked by Kerry Katona and a drag queen”
“Because drag queen means thick, right??”
Chloe and James have joined Made in Chelsea stars Ollie and Gareth Locke, Olympic silver medallist Iwan Thomas and Paralympian Richard Whitehead, as well as actress Izzy Akudolu and music star Lisa Maffia.
The new series of Celebrity Hunted aims to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer – as part of a joint campaign between Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
