Valentine’s Day 2022 is fast approaching.
The holiday of love is celebrated by couples far and wide and many choose to honour the occasion by popping the question or tying the knot, including famous faces.
From the dancefloors of Strictly Come Dancing to the biggest names in pop, the world of Marvel to the heights of Star Wars – celebrity engagements and weddings on Valentine’s Day are quite the rage.
With stars such as Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox recently getting engaged, only time will tell which celeb couples will cross the line this Valentine’s Day to join them.
So, which celeb couples have gotten engaged or married on February 14 in years gone by?
Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Márquez – engaged 2021

Former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson accepted a proposal of marriage from her Strictly beau Gorka Márquez on Valentine’s Day last year.
The 37-year-old actress and 31-year-old dancer have been dating since 2018 and share daughter Mia, 2.
On February 14 last year, Gorka popped the question, which was swiftly celebrated by both celebrities on Instagram.
Gorka wrote: “The best day with my forever Valentine’s. I asked and she said YES!!!!!!”

Meanwhile, Gemma said: “Valentine’s forever… Of course I said yes.”
While their romantic Valentine’s Day engagement may have set wedding bells tingling, Gorka confessed that the pair have yet to set a date during a chat show appearance last month.
Asked about the wedding on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Gorka said: “No, we haven’t! We’re too busy!
“We are always saying, ‘we need to pick a date’.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom – engaged 2019

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s love story had its fair share of bumps in the road.
The Hollywood couple began dating in January 2016 but called off their relationship in March 2017.
Following her release of break-up bops ‘Small Talk’ and ‘Never Really Over’, the 37-year-old singer was officially reunited with Bloom by February 2018.
They got engaged on Valentine’s Day the following year.
Orlando, 45, proposed to Katy with a flower-shaped ring comprising of a central ruby stone and eight clear diamonds masquerading as petals.
The couple welcomed one-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom in August 2020 and have yet to tie the knot.
On their forthcoming wedding, Katy previously told Stellar magazine: “I call myself a ‘bridechilla’ as opposed to a bridezilla.
“Orlando and I are united with our approach.
“It’s not about the party, it’s about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard.”
Tommy Lee and Brittany Furlan

Pamela Anderson’s ex and Motley Crue founder Tommy Lee proposed to his girlfriend Brittany Furlan, 35, on Valentine’s Day in 2018.
The pair then got married on the following Valentine’s Day in 2019, clearly not wanting to hang around.
Tommy showed his romantic side by proposing with a heart-shaped ring for the sweet moment.
This was his fourth marriage after his infamous split from Pamela, as well as splitting from Elaine Starchuk, Heather Locklear
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart – engaged 2009

The Star Wars actor, 79, proposed to the 57-year-old Ally McBeal star on Valentine’s Day in 2009 while the pair were on a family vacation with their adopted son, Liam.
The couple, who had been dating since 2002, tied the knot the following year and have been happily married ever since.
