Coleen Rooney spills all about her WAG experiences in a brand-new Amazon Prime documentary.
During the doc, Coleen gets candid about her iconic WAG days and explains how the wives and girlfriends of the England squad all got along.
Speaking of the World Cup in 2006, Coleen revealed: “There was nights when we did go out and we had a good time, no-one did anything wrong. The players weren’t out with us.
“We never dragged them out of the hotel to come out with us. Out of all the tournaments, I’d say that was the most memorable one that we felt like a big England family.”
The 2006 WAGs consisted of Coleen and the likes of Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Tweedy and Alex Curran.
They were often photographed enjoying their time, boozing it up on nights out in Germany and heading out on shopping sprees worth thousands of pounds.
In fact, their behaviour grabbed so many headlines that they were banned from attending the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Elsewhere in the documentary, Coleen also opened up about hubby Wayne Rooney, saying he was a “charmer” when they first met – but it seems she didn’t always fancy the footballer.
In fact, the former England soccer star had to keep asking her out on dates before he finally won her over.
The mum-of-four, 35, opened up about her relationship with Wayne in the new Amazon Prime documentary – Rooney.
In the documentary, Coleen said Wayne was “full of confidence” and “always up to something”, hinting the athlete was rather mischievous as a youngster.
The pair met at secondary school, and used to live so close to each other in the suburbs of Liverpool that she could hear the sports star’s mum shouting his name in the street.
Describing her husband Wayne, she said: “Cheeky, full of confidence, always up to something.
“I always remember he used to hang around by where I lived and every now and again you’d get his mum shouting up and down the street, ‘Wayne!'”
Coleen also explained how close she is with the Rooney cohort too, given their families grew up together.
She went on to explain: “I am best friends with Wayne’s cousin Claire. My dad and Claire’s dad ran the local boxing gym. Our families have grew up together.”
Rooney is available to watch on Amazon Prime from February 11.
