Coronation Street fans were left in hysterics during the latest episode as Tyrone revealed his plan to use Spice Girls lyrics as wedding vows.
Friday’s episode (December 23) of the ITV soap saw Tyrone (Alan Halsall) inform Maria (Samia Longchambon) of his plan to use lyrics from the Spice Girls hit Say You’ll Be There during his surprise wedding with Fiz (Jenny McAlpine).
Reacting to the unexpected confession, one Corrie fan on Twitter wrote: “Say You’ll Be There as wedding vows. Class.”

Another joked: “Those vows sound absolutely fine!”
Meanwhile, a third unconvinced fan quipped: “Yo, I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want Are better wedding vows for Tyrone.”
The amusing scene saw Tyrone visit Maria in order to ask her if she could style Fiz’s hair for the surprise nuptials.
He then said: “Look can I run something by you?
“I’m giving you everything, all that joy, can bring yes I swear.”
A confused Maria replied “What’s that for?” with Tyrone quickly confirming he had planned to use the lyrics for his wedding vows.
As Tyrone explained that Fiz loved the Spice Girls, a horrified Maria replied: “Yes, but not enough to have them recited at her wedding.”
Their chat was then cut short by Beth – with viewers left to wait and see whether Tyrone goes ahead with the controversial vows on his big day.
Tyrone was later seen blowing off he and Fiz’s cinema plans in order to plan for the wedding.
Picking up her wedding dress, he enthused that “Fiz is going to love it” while Fiz met Maria in the pub and moaned about Tyrone’s takeaway Christmas dinner plans.
She really has no idea!
Coronation Street airs on ITV.
