Countryfile's Helen Skelton sparks fan concern following latest snap of baby daughter

Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton has sparked concern amongst fans after she took her newborn baby outdoors without suitable headwear.

The 38-year-old star shared an adorable snap with her fans online where she could be seen cradling her daughter Elsie outside.

Captioning the post, Helen penned: “Walk. Feed. Coffee. Repeat, don’t be fooled by the [sun emoji] it’s [frozen emoji].”

Although the popular BBC host made sure her newborn was wrapped up warm in a white blanket, her Instagram followers were quick to comment on the fact that her baby wasn’t wearing a hat on her head during the height of winter.

Sharing their apprehension, a portion of Helen’s fans expressed their worries in the comment section.

One follower penned: “Think the baby could have a bonnet on as it’s so cold!”

Another exclaimed: “Where is her hat!!!”

Meanwhile, a third social media user posted: “I must be old, first thing I thought was ‘get a hat on that baby’.”

Despite the uproar, many of her followers still loved the post, with one commenting: “They are some lovely photos Helen,” and a second added: “Nice house and gardens, you look well.”

The TV personality has since deleted the post but still shared a photo of her daughter in her pram as they enjoyed their walk outdoors.

Helen and her husband Richie Myler welcomed their third child in December, and recently revealed her name as Elsie Kate to their fans.

Despite feeling the joys that comes with a new child, the former Blue Peter presenter recently revealed the devastating reason behind Elsie’s middle name.

Speaking to Hello! she said: “We were always going to have Kate as a middle name after my cousin, who sadly passed away when we were in our 20s.

“I was really close to her; she was a scientist and crazy cool.”

She later added: “The boys loved the name Elsie as it has an E and an L at the beginning. Mind you, if the baby had been a boy, Louis wanted to call it Wolverine. We said: ‘Okay, we’ll put it on the list!'” She joked.
