Curtis Pritchard to make acting comeback following slated Hollyoaks appearance

Brace yourselves… Curtis Pritchard is set to make an acting comeback.

The Love Island star’s brief stint on Hollyoaks last year alongside brother AJ was previously slated by Channel 4 viewers.

But despite the criticisms, Curtis, 26, isn’t bothered and he’s been taking lessons to hone his craft so he can land another TV role.

He said: “Going on Hollyoaks was such a great thing because I learned so much from it. It taught me a lot of acting. I fell in love with acting. It gave me a buzz for acting.

“I am 100% keen to do more acting. 1000%! I have been having acting lessons. From that performance on Hollyoaks to now, I’m like a different person.”

Curtis and AJ were bombarded with nasty messages online when their Hollyoaks appearance aired. But they haven’t let that get to them.

Curtis even reckons it was good for Hollyoaks because it got people talking about it.

He said: “Put it like this, I got more press than Hollyoaks has ever got. In more countries than even get Hollyoaks. They were very happy.”

Curtis is back on TV on the new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins alongside his brother AJ Pritchard.

The Channel 4 show which sees ex-army officials put a group of recruits through the Special Air Services screening process is not for the faint hearted.

And although Curtis is happy to be joining this year’s cast, the star previously admitted that he caused the most damage to himself just two days before filming for the reality show.

Talking to The Sun and other publications at a press event, Curtis said: “Two days before going in, I was gonna go for a massage and I accidentally stubbed my little toe and broke it.

“Literally they called me into your massage and I stood up and booted my toe.

“I was that embarrassed, I couldn’t make a facial expression, couldn’t make a noise, I just kept walking on it.”

Meanwhile his older brother AJ added: “It was like a scene from Friends.”

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4.
