Dallas and The Jeffersons star Roseanna Christiansen dies, heartbroken husband confirms

Roseanna Christiansen, star of The Jeffersons and Dallas has sadly died aged 71.

The cause of Roseanna’s death is not yet known.

It has been revealed that the actress passed away last month on July 14 at Antelope Valley Medical Centre in Lancaster, California.

She was best known and loved for her role in popular soap opera Dallas.

Roseanna played the role of Teresa, a Southfork ranch maid, and was a hit with fans.

Teresa was a fixture on the soap for Dallas’ final nine seasons, and starred in a total of 112 episodes.

The news of Roseanna’s death broke after her husband, Steven Rizzo, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking to the publication Steven said that many of his wife’s students referred to their private sessions as their “therapy sessions” – illustrating the care and love she exuded throughout her lifetime and at her acting school Action! Acting.

He went on to add: “Though in years her life was too short, she spent enough time here to plant the seeds of love, encouragement and beauty into everyone she met.”

Aside from her work on Dallas, Roseanna was also a hit on the show The Jeffersons.

Just like her stint in Dallas, the actress portrayed another maid, Carmen.

She played Carmen in 1981 for a short amount of episodes – but although a short stint, this was her first “big break”.

Fans of the star have shared their condolences online, with one writing: “Sending my condolences to her husband and children on the loss of a mum and a wife may Roseanna Christiansen. Rest In Eternal Peace.”

Roseanna is survived by her husband Steven; her children Josiah and Grace; and her sister Elba.
