Dancing On Ice fans demand a recount as they fume judges ‘undermarked’ Rachel Stevens

Dancing On Ice fans fumed as they asked for a score recount following Rachel Steven’s elegant waltz which viewers claim was “undermarked.”

During Sunday (6 February) night’s instalment of the popular ITV show, the S Club 7 star and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield opened the show with their incredible routine to Alicia Keys’ hit single If I Ain’t Got You.

This week the theme was Dance Week as the star-studded line up showcased their dance moves ranging from Disco to Tango and everything in between.

But that wasn’t all, as this week saw the return of the Judges Challenge which tasked contestants with completing a solo spin.

However, the 43-year-old failed to impress judges Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean when she received a disappointing score on the ice.

One of the main areas of contention for fans was when Chris marked down the star when she only completed two and a half turns on the ice.

The star has only been skating for two weeks after she had to miss the first week of the competition while she continued to recover from a fractured wrist which she injured before Christmas.

And fans soon flooded to Twitter to share their disappointment that the TV star didn’t receive a higher score as they demanded a score recount throughout the show.

One user wrote: “Think the judges are a bit harsh on Rachel, it looked beautiful! #DancingOnIce.”

Another added: “#DancingOnIce Booo! under marked,” while a third chimed in with: “Rachel is getting such harsh comments. Unnecessary #DancingOnIce.”

Meanwhile, one fan of the show penned: “Very under marked from the judges for Rachel. I gave her a 7 that was beautiful. Well done Rachel #DancingOnIce.”

And things soon went from bad to worse as Rachel found herself in the skate off against Olympic BMX cyclist Kym White.

Despite a beautiful performance, all four judges voted to keep the Olympian after he showed more progression on the ice.

Rachel was also in the bottom two last week but managed to scrape through the tense elimination round against ITV Entertainment presenter Ria Hebden.
