Danny Dyer has two secret sisters after his dad 'lived double life with another woman'

EastEnders actor Danny Dyer has confessed to having two secret sisters after his dad led a double life when he was a child.

Talking alongside his daughter Dani on their podcast Sorted with the Dyers, the Mick Carter star admitted feeling that his dad had “f***ed up” by leading a dubious life.

The popular father-daughter duo were listening to messages from listeners when one asked if they should get in touch with their estranged dad who had recently entered a relationship with a new woman.

Answering the question Danny replied: “It’s a tricky one. I had a bit of this as a kid too.

“My old man, who I love very much and who I talk about quite a bit on this podcast, he f***ed up.

“He f***ed off when I was nine and he was basically seeing someone else and he was living two lives.

“He had two children with someone else and he was living two different lives – it was like a double whammy really.

“I found out that my dad was leaving at a very young age because my mum and dad weren’t in love anymore. And I also found out that I had two other siblings along with that.”

Danny then revealed that finding out the reality of his father’s situation made him grow up pretty fast.

He continued: “Well, at the time I was very intrigued by it. I was like “what do you mean I’ve got two other sisters?”. One of my sisters was I think maybe five years younger than me, and the other was 10 years younger.

“It makes you grow up quickly, I’ll tell you that – because you’re starting to talk about adult stuff at such a young age.”

Last month Danny confirmed that he will be leaving Walford after nine years as Square fan favourite Mick after being offered an irresistible new acting deal with Sky.

A BBC spokesperson said: “Danny will be leaving EastEnders when his contract comes to an end later this year.

“Danny has made Mick Carter an iconic character which we shall always be grateful for, however, we won’t be saying goodbye just yet as there’s still quite some time – and plenty of explosive drama for Mick – to come before he departs Walford.”
