Dermot O'Leary baffles fans as he shares unusual expertise on BBC show

Presenter Dermot O’Leary left viewers rather confused after he was labelled as an expert on fish during an episode of The Wheel.

The popular BBC show had viewers hooked on Saturday night (November 19) as three contestants battled it out to win as much money as possible.

The first contestant to take on The Wheel was Melfred, who worked as a school chef. Sticking to a category he knows and loves, Melfred opted for “fish” which Dermot was an expert in.

Michael replied: “You really love fish!”

Dermot: “We’ll find out tonight, how much I love fish.”

But unfortunately when it was time for Dermot to take centre stage and showcase his knowledge on fish, The Wheel landed on boxer Nicola Adams who confessed “I don’t know much about fish,” when faced with the difficult question.

Despite her lack of knowledge, Nicola answered her fish based question correctly.

Later on in the show, although Melfred got off to a rocky start, he ended up winning an eye-watering £96,000 on the show.

Seeing his successful win, fans took to Twitter to congratlate him on his win.

One viewer said: “I always learn something new when I watch #TheWheel. Well deserved win, Melfred is so precious.”
